Anchor Air has a very deep history in Santa Barbara County with CEO/Owner Ty Montee born at Cottage Hospital and raised in Santa Barbara. From Dos Pueblos High School to Practical Skills Vocational Trade School, 5 full years as apprentice earning Journeymen to 5 years as Service and Repair crew leader then going out on his own as Master Technician in July of 2000.  Father Tracy, Retired Navy /Coast Guardsmen, helped sire the company name and Anchor Air was born.

November 1st 2001 Anchor Air was officially open for business. The first 2 years Ty, Tracy, Wife Laurie and Mother Tove, as CFO, kept the business all in the family until taking an apprentice , Jose “Junior” Jimenez, July of 2004 earning Journeymen status 5 years later. May 1st 2007 Anchor Air moved all of their metal fabrication in house with the acquisition of a local sheet metal shop with Leo Escobar as Master Fabricator. With the increased manpower, speed, efficiency and ability to do 100% custom fabrication Anchor Air is able to stay on top of the newest HVAC technologies while providing you with the best possible system to fit your needs and budget.

Starting June 1st 2015, after working with a large crew and streamlining for the current HVAC market, Anchor Air has just opened a brand new shop/office in Carpinteria servicing the entire Santa Barbara County and Santa Ynez Valley. Now a top tier authorized ICP/Arcoaire and  Daikin dealer the business has turned to social media and web based promotion as a means to share their services with the local clientele.


Aside from the HVAC business Anchor Air also does it’s part to support the local community. Getting behind the Montecito Fire Department, as well as supporting the Los Padres National Forest System Trail Maintenance and backing the USA Club team for the International Six Days Enduro.
